Welcome to Yipes Stripes. The firm was founded in 1988 by Dave and Mary Corbin. Working out of a garage at their residence in Clayton, Ohio, they started this company as a franchise whose core business was the painting of pinstripes on new cars at auto dealerships. As the business grew, computers and plotters were added to add vinyl graphics to the services provided. The business quickly outgrew the garage space, and a building with a dedicated office/layout area and a two bay garage for vinyl application was built in the Englewood Haas Industrial Park in 1995. By this time, the majority of Yipes Stripes work was in the vinyl graphics area. Needing even more space for an increasing work load, the company was relocated to its present location in 2002. The 10,000 square foot former warehouse was modified with the addition of a 14 foot front entrance garage door and an office and layout area. Additionally, a large format printer was purchased to facilitate the preparation of vehicle wraps and large signs. Todd Schindler, who had worked for Dave since 1991, purchased Yipes Stripes in 2012. Yipes Stripes is no longer a franchised company. With its new ownership, the firm is now a Limited Liability Company.
Yipes Stripes’ philosophy is to provide the highest quality materials and installations to our varied customer base which includes many police and fire departments, construction companies, racing organizations, trade companies and individuals. As Dave Corbin once said “we apply our graphics to anything that rolls, floats or flies as long as it stands still long enough for us to do our work.”
